Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Mezbaan Sweets & Chaat website and mobile app ("the app") handle your information. The app is operated by Mezbaan Sweets & Chaat, 10th Street, Al Admah, Old Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
What we do not do
The app has no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools, and it does not use your phone's GPS or location. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone for marketing.
Your account
To use the mobile app you log in with your email address. We email you a 6-digit code to confirm the address is yours. The first time you log in, we ask for your name, mobile number and location (the area you type in, for example "Al Faisaliyah, Dammam"; we never read your phone's location). We use these details to recognise you, to prepare and deliver your orders, and to contact you about them. Each mobile number can be linked to only one account.
Your email, name, mobile number, location and the date you signed up are stored in a private Google Sheet that only Mezbaan staff can open. You stay logged in on your device for 30 days.
Services that handle your data for us
- Cloudflare runs our small login server, which checks your code and passes your sign-up details to our sheet.
- Resend delivers the login code email to your email address.
- Google stores the sheet with your account details (Google Sheets).
They process the data only to provide these services to us. All of it travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Orders and messages
If you place an order or send us a message, you type your name, phone number and any notes into the app. When you tap the WhatsApp button, this text is placed in a WhatsApp message addressed to our business number so we can prepare your order or reply to you. The message is sent through WhatsApp, which is a separate service with its own privacy policy. We use the details only to handle your order or enquiry.
Information stored on your device
Your shopping cart and your login (your email, the login token and the sign-up details above, so the order form can be filled in for you) are saved on your own device. You can clear them by logging out or clearing the app's data.
Permissions
The app needs no special permissions. It opens links to WhatsApp, your email app and your phone dialer only when you tap them.
Children
The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Deleting your account and data
You can ask us to delete your account at any time: in the app, open the menu and tap Delete my account, or email info@mezbaangroup.com (or message us on WhatsApp) from the email address or mobile number on your account. We will delete your row from our sheet, including your email, name, mobile number and location, within 7 days and confirm when it is done. You can also ask us to correct your details, or to delete an order or message you sent to our WhatsApp number.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
